Refinish or just recoat?
If the finish is worn through, the boards have gone gray, or you want a new color, the floor needs a full sand-and-refinish. If it’s dull and scuffed but still sealed, a deep clean and recoat will do it in a day or two for a fraction of the cost. It’s usually obvious from a photo. Text one to Ken and he’ll tell you which, and if the honest answer is “neither, yet,” he’ll say that too.
How we work
Dust extraction on every sander. Rooms sealed off. Water-based, low-VOC finishes: CeramicStar standard, or WearMax Armor if you want a harder floor. Before we start, we put stain samples on your actual floor so you choose the color in your own light. Full details on the refinishing page.

Ken and his team were phenomenal to work with. We recently bought an 1890s home which needed some revitalization. They refinished the original old growth pine upstairs, refinished the stairs, and installed new hardwood downstairs. The first floor was very uneven, and they managed to make it level. Everyone we talked to was polite and knowledgeable. Ken kept us apprised of delays and options. They didn't cut corners, and finished the job completely. Already recommended them to our friends. Great work, we removed carpet to find a pretty bad flooring mishap. Hardwood floors under carpet, with mis matched sub flooring. The team, removed old flooring, replaced some subflooring, laced in new hardwood, sanded, stained and finished. They cleaned the home and left the way they found it. I had this company redo my whole house, about 2100 square feet of wood. From the first estimate through the measuring to ordering the product exactly as we wanted it to fnishing up by sweeping and mopping the floor, they were just superb. The workers were extremely detail oriented, matching exisiting floorings and transitions. Every cut was precise, including around corners, heater vents, and inlaid door closure plates. They redid any small item that did not meet their specifications. They worked around a problem created with using new glue to make sure the floor was perfect. The workers were reliable, showing up on time as scheduled. Although small hurdles crop up as in any job, the entire floor was finished to the highest standards of quality and the best professionalism. If I could give them ten stars, I would. I highly highly recommend this company,
